Day 68 - Margaret River

Spent most of the day in Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park & generally covered the area between the 2 capes. Jim & Dorothy did much the same but went separately.

This is Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse..


which is the highest on mainland Australia. This is where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean..


Lots of interesting coastline. Over here there are heaps of ring necked parrots around. Faye found one near the van..


Going to Walpole tomorrow. Tonight might be interesting as this farm starts shearing tomorrow & the sheep are penned just behind our van next to the shearing shed.

  2. Hi, This parrot is called "Twenty-eight" the largest member of the ringneck family, only found in the west of australia, the next smaller type to the east is called "Port Lincoln" ours are called "Mallee Ringneck"
