Day 66 - Lake Hart

A fairly cold night at Coober Pedy - left there around 9am with morning tea along the way and then a bought lunch at Glendambo roadhouse.

Then only another 75km to Lake Hart rest area....

Faye loves seeing eagles and she got these today. Saw them so had to do 2 U turns to get the photos. This SA countryside is very different to Central Australia. The last photo is an emergency airstrip for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Tonight we are at Lake Hart which is a very popular place to stay over. We were the 5th ones here but vans and motorhomes everywhere now.

Lake Hart is a very large salt lake and the railway goes around its shoreline. Did a small walk to the lake...

Tomorrow we will go through Port Augusta so then finished with the “outback”. Should be around Melrose tomorrow night.
