Day 14 - Bingara

Left Green Valley at 10am and went to Tingha to have a look at the Wing Hing Long old general store. Originally started in 1880 by a chinese man and the 5th chinese to own bought it in 1918 and it was run by the family until it closed in 1998. Then it was purchased by the local Council with backing of NSW Heritage for a living museum. The stock was as it was when it closed. It is open 4 days a week and staffed by volunteers.

Also had a devonshire tea whilst there....

Was after 12.30pm when we left Tingha so we only came through to Bingara and we are camped alongside the Gwydir River. Was very hot today and Percy was saying 49o.

Will be home on Saturday and tomorrow night we will stay at Wallabadah.
