We are leaving on Thursday 23rd for North Queensland - plan to be away until early September so we will miss most of the winter!!! This is a caravan holiday plus some tent camping...
The main reason we are going is Faye's brother has his 75th birthday, his wife her 70th & it is their 50th wedding anniversary so their kids have arranged a special weekend on the 1st weekend in July. Faye was their bridesmaid. This will be at a camp site near Malanda on the Atherton Tablelands.
After that we will have a week at Tinaroo Dam & then go back to Faye's brother for a time. Will then leave the van & have a tent time around Cooktown & above at some National Parks. After that we are going to an aboriginal town on Cape York for a few days where Faye's nephew & his wife work.
Then back to pick up the van & slowly come home through Western Qld visiting some places we haven't been to before.
